Girls Weekend for Holly’s 35th

Saturday, October 22nd, 2011

Some of Holly’s closest pals planned a weekend in SoCal for her 35th Birthday. She won’t tell me everything that was involved, but assured me that she dropped off Avi and Ezra safely at Gigi and Grandpa’s house for the week. All involved had a total blast, I’m told. Scant evidence of the weekend now showing in a new album in the Photo Gallery.

Goin' our way?

OMG

Monday, August 9th, 2010

This blog post isn’t even about Avi. We were so floored by what was going on across the country that we forgot to include Avi in the shot.

Steve Jobs and Apple have it all wrong. THIS is the killer scenario for Facetime: a cross-country dance party.

Deaf signing? Not the killer Facetime scenario...

Family Photo Shoot at the Bay Area Discovery Museum

Sunday, April 4th, 2010

A few weeks ago, we got a family membership to the Bay Area Discovery Museum and brought along our friends the Weekley Family whose Dad, Corey, just happens to be a professional photographer. What happens when you mix a professional photographer, a photogenic 1-year-old, and a scenic venue? Our first ever official FAMILY Photo Shoot! Enjoy!

BTW, if you are in the Bay Area and looking for a great family photographer, we highly recommend Corey! You can check out some of his work on Flickr. Email us if you want his contact info!

A Vote for Pedro is a Wasted Vote

Tuesday, July 26th, 2005

I was in Seattle a couple of weeks ago and during my three days there, I saw six different people wearing “Vote for Pedro” shirts. Now I love Napoleon Dynamite as much as the next guy (maybe a little less), and I’m a big fan of those types of pithy, smart, sarcastic shirts worn by San Francisco counterculture (a bigger fan than most–I own a few).

I had thought that I was so cool when I grabbed a couple of these types of shirts a while back thinking, for once, that I might be fashion forward. But then y’all go and kill my dream–all these damn shirts everywhere! We can’t ALL be unique and funny and cool. So now i’m just back to being a tech nerd who wears jeans and buttondowns. Damn you all.

You can only imagine my delight when I saw this one out and about:
Pedro Lacks Political Experience

Take THAT! Counter-counterculture t-shirts. It’s about time. Your whole smarmy t-shirt trend can go self-combust. See if I care.
